User Experience Researchers (UXRs) make this possible by focusing on the user and all else will follow.
* Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 4 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
* Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
* Experience researching AI products.
* Experience with natural language processing concepts and their application in user experience.
* Experience defining and measuring critical user journeys and sentiments.
Preferred qualifications:
* Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
* Experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research, or academic settings.
* Experience in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact.
* Experience with statistical analysis tools and data visualization.
* Understanding of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process including but not limited to Human-Computer Interaction Research.
Responsibilities
* Plan, design, execute, analyze, and report on qualitative and quantitative studies (e.g. qualitative interviews, usability testing, diary studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
* Understand user expectations and mental models around content creation, with and without AI assistance.
* Measure and track user sentiment towards critical creator experiences, including AI-generated answers and interactions.
* Be a reliable, trusted partner for product managers, engineering, UX and research managers to define and run research in a changing environment.
* Communicate research insights to the team and stakeholders in an effective and compelling way, influencing evidence-based decision making.
