At our Birr site you will repair and overhaul critical turbine components, contributing directly to performance, reliability and sustainability. /ph3Responsibilities /h3pAs Production Quality Manager Repair Shop (OneBirr), you will: /pulliTake overall responsibility for quality performance within the Repair Shop. /liliGuide, support, and develop a small team of quality inspectors and engineers. /liliEnsure the implementation, sustainability, and continuous improvement of Built In Quality (BIQ) principles. /liliPromote a “Right First Time” approach by supporting preventive quality methods in daily operations. /liliSupport teams in meeting inspection plans, quality requirements and customer expectations. /liliAct as the main quality contact for internal and external customers. /liliEnsure timely and sustainable handling of non‑conformances (NCRs) with minimal impact on operations. /liliGuide structured root cause analyses (e.g., 8D, 5 Why) and support effective corrective and preventive actions. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical field. /liliExperience in quality, manufacturing, Lean or continuous improvement, ideally in power generation or heavy industry. /liliUnderstanding of inspection and testing methods for turbine components or similar equipment. /liliExperience in team coordination within production or quality environments. /liliKnowledge of structured problem‑solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Why). /liliUnderstanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). /liliGood communication skills in German and English. /liliNice to have: Experience strengthening BIQ in production environments. /liliNice to have: Ability to translate data into practical improvement actions. /liliNice to have: Structured and solution‑oriented way of working in a dynamic environment. /liliNice to have: Confidence in customer and audit situations. /liliNice to have: Leadership approach that supports development, trust and team engagement. /liliNice to have: Interest in continuous improvement and operational excellence. /liliQualification as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. /li /ulh3Benefits /h3pGE Vernova provides a robust benefits package tailored to the employee’s status and national requirements.
