About the job:
* Oversee all general ledger activities in SAP, including postings, reconciliations, period closings, and maintenance of key master data.
* Ensure proper application of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Manage securities accounting in cooperation with external partners.
* Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
* Coordinate payment processes, cash handling, and expense management.
* Serve as the primary contact for banks, service providers, auditors, and internal audit.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks.
* Produce regulatory filings and tax-related submissions, including VAT and withholding tax reclaims.
* Deliver liquidity analyses, budget vs. actual reports, and ad-hoc evaluations.
* Maintain and develop the internal control system (ICS).
* Lead and develop the finance accounting team.
* Support the Head of Finance and contribute to cross-functional projects.
* Prepare internal reports and analyses as needed.
About the candidate:
* Strong decision-making skills within your area of responsibility.
* Proven leadership experience in finance or accounting.
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.
* Several years of professional experience in financial accounting or controlling, ideally in a regulated environment.
* Strong expertise in SAP (FI; experience with CFM is a plus).
* Solid understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
* Confident in preparing financial statements and managing end-to-end accounting processes.
* Experience with ICS/ICFR frameworks is an advantage.
* Strong analytical skills, precision, and a structured working style.
* Proven leadership experience or clear potential to lead a team.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Fluent German and English required.
