We are seeking a reliable Scientist - Authentifield Library Producer for our client, Novartis, based in Basel.
The role of the Authentifield Library Producer involves overseeing spectral library production, collaborating with PharmINT associates, manufacturing sites, and external partners. The key responsibilities include building and maintaining NIR spectral libraries to support PharmINT & Forensics in identifying falsified medicines. The role also entails managing and inventorying exhibits, samples, and other items in the PharmINT Warehouse, ensuring compliance with technical, environmental, health, and safety standards.
Major Activities & Accountabilities:
1. Library Production: Manage spectral library creation, including collection, recording, and validation of spectral data; ensure LabScanner devices are operational and calibrated.
2. Exhibit Management: Oversee receipt, documentation, and storage of forensic exhibits; maintain chain of custody and accurate records.
3. Quality Assurance: Maintain Labscanners within the Authentifield ecosystem through regular maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance; document production processes.
4. Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders like quality control labs and manufacturing sites, providing support during forensic casework and library updates.
5. Training and Support: Train end-users on Labscanner utilization within the ecosystem.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, spectroscopy, or related scientific field, or equivalent experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. At least 5 years of experience in spectral analysis, pharmaceutical evaluation, or related areas, with expertise in managing spectral libraries.
3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency with spectroscopy tools; knowledge of regulatory standards.
4. Detail-oriented, organized, capable of working independently, and a good team collaborator with high integrity.
