Join the Banking Specialist – OTC Derivatives Processing role at myGwork – LGBTQ+ Business Community. The position is open in Switzerland with Avaloq, a global provider of wealth‑management technology and services.
Overview
Avaloq is expanding its global footprint with around 2,500 colleagues in 12 countries. The Banking Operations division delivers back‑office services to banks, delivering quality, automation and risk management. The OTC Derivatives Team processes and manages the life‑cycle of in‑scope products for clients, ensuring compliance with SLAs and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Timely and accurate processing of OTC equity and FX derivative products (Accumulators, Decumulators, Swaps, Dual Currency Investment, Structured Investment, FX related products), Interest‑Rate Swaps, Listed Options and Futures.
* Prompt follow‑up with relevant parties to resolve trade exceptions and discrepancies.
* Investigate and resolve outstanding break items in cash and position reconciliations.
* Ensure operational delivery covering derivatives activities is managed within SLAs and KPIs to prevent losses, breaches and mitigate risks.
* Escalate operational risks to Manager for mitigation and solutions.
* Support Manager in process efficiency and improvement initiatives, updating key operating procedure (KOP) as required.
* Perform User Acceptance Testing as and when required.
Qualifications
* Relevant experience in back‑office order processing.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proactive, positive attitude, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
* High attention to detail, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
* Excellent communication skills, building robust relationships with peers and stakeholders.
* Excellent knowledge of English and Italian.
Bonus Skills
* Knowledge of Avaloq system.
* Solid technical know‑how in the derivatives area.
* Knowledge of French and German are a plus.
