Halal Technical Auditor (Approved & Accredited Halal Certification Body)
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Technical Auditor to join our Halal auditing team in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.
Responsibilities include:
1. Perform audits of halal food, pharma, cosmetic facilities, supply chains, and related processes to ensure compliance with relevant halal and quality standards (e.g., OIC/SMIIC, GSO, SJPH, etc.).
2. Evaluate documentation, procedures, and practices to verify adherence to halal certification requirements.
3. Assess the effectiveness of halal management systems (HMS) and identify areas for improvement.
4. Prepare detailed audit reports, including non-conformities, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
5. Communicate audit findings to clients and provide guidance on achieving and maintaining compliance.
6. Offer technical support and advice to clients on implementing and improving halal systems.
7. Verify that corrective actions have been implemented effectively to address non-conformities.
8. Ensure ongoing compliance of certified organizations with applicable standards.
9. Participate in training and professional development to maintain auditing competence.
10. Collaborate with certification body teams, including other auditors, technical managers, and decision-makers.
11. Support the development and improvement of audit protocols and certification processes.
12. Travel to client sites, including domestic and international locations, for on-site audits.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field.
2. Additional certifications in halal auditing (e.g., lead auditor, FSSC 22000, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
3. Prior experience as a halal and/or food quality auditor or in implementing halal and/or food safety management systems.
4. Deep understanding of halal requirements and food safety standards (e.g., GSO, OIC/SMIIC, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, FSSC 22000).
5. Knowledge of halal production processes, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
7. Attention to detail, independence, and proficiency in report writing.
8. Ethical, impartial, and committed to maintaining the integrity of the certification process.
9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Willingness to travel frequently, including to remote or rural locations.
This role is essential in ensuring that food, pharma, and cosmetic businesses meet the highest standards of halal, safety, and quality, thereby protecting consumer health and maintaining trust in the halal supply chain.
