HR Junior Business Partner – 6958
Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a HR Business Partner who will act as collaborative partner to the business providing HR subject matter expertise to all managers and employees of the designated areas.
This person will be a member of the local on site HR Business Partnering Team in Visp responsible for providing hands‑on support in all key HR areas spanning across the full employee lifecycle from hire to retire. In addition, the HR Business Partner may be assigned to lead local HR projects related to e.g. Recruitment, Performance Management, Talent Management or Total Rewards. This is a contract role until the end of the year based in the Valais area, Switzerland. This person should speak both German and English fluently.
Main Responsibilities:
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
Provide HR BP support, consultation and guidance for all people related matters to the Managers
In collaboration with the wider HR team, develop and roll‑out people plan aligned with HR and business strategies. Critical areas to be addressed include talent and performance management, employee engagement, workforce planning, bringing to life global processes accordingly
Ensure administrative support as process champion and coordinate HR administrative duties and responsibilities with HR Services supporting the site
Build collaborative and positive relationships with internal clients and across the site / global HR network to ensure seamless HR support
Assess and continually seek to improve HR efficiency by tracking and reporting key performance indicators
Coordinate and facilitate team and/or organizational development activities in order to drive efficiency, support growth and build high performing teams and organizations
Coach and support line managers on current and future plans to design their respective organizations and put in place change management plans to help their operations be successful
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in HR, ideally in an HR Business Partner role or equivalent
BSc or MSc in HR, Psychology, Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred
Basic knowledge in Swiss labor law and experience in implementing disciplinary measures
Collaborative approach, striving for data driven decisions, dealing with ambiguity and managing periods with high workload
Ability to act hands‑on on operational tasks to support respective organizations
The role requires on site presence of at least 4 days a week at our site in Visp
Understanding of Total Rewards concepts, Recruitment and HR Process principles, and the ability to apply these principles on a day to day basis
Proficient in English and German
Ability to effectively communicate in a matrix environment and across levels within the organization
Affinity for technology tools and reporting dashboards
