For an international company in the global agribusiness market in 4332 Stein (AG), we are looking for a Process Research Chemist (f/m/d) - temporary assignment (100%), min. 1 year.
Responsibilities Your primary responsibility will be to support the development of new synthesis routes for our molecules that are safe, scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective.
Detailed planning of organic reactions, considering safe laboratory practices and careful risk assessment.
Safely performing organic reactions in the laboratory, utilizing a wide range of synthetic and purification skills.
Independently use appropriate analytical techniques to monitor reactions (including TLC, IR, GC, LC).
Characterization of the nature and purity of synthesized products (1D-NMR, MS, IR, MPt, LC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS).
Optimization of chemical processes and development of new synthesis routes.
Protocolling, analyzing, and reporting scientific data and results.
Interacting and communicating effectively in a diverse and international professional environment.
Profile Laborant/In education or a BS or MS in Organic Chemistry (no PhD). Industrial experience is advantageous.
Thorough knowledge of practical organic chemistry and synthesis.
Expertise with standard and modern chemical laboratory equipment.
Ability to perform multistep synthesis and optimize reaction conditions.
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
Strong understanding of purification techniques.
Thorough knowledge of spectroscopic techniques.
Basic skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Good command of English.
