Overview Swissloop Tunneling (SLT), a student project group from ETH Zurich, is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join our software team of 3-5 members. We are dedicated to developing innovative Micro Tunnel Boring Machines (MTBM) and have been recognized with two second-place finishes and Innovation awards in previous Not-a-Boring competitions. Last year, we won the Not-a-Boring competition. The following requirements outline the optimal parameters we seek for this position. However, all of them can be learned or extended throughout your experience within the team. We encourage you to submit your application even if you don’t think you meet all the criteria. Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the backend software engineers
Extend the existing frontend in Node.js, focusing on your own design implementation, modality, and industry standards
Make critical decisions on the structure and implementation of the frontend
Implement robust and reusable code, ensuring smooth (existing) communication with the backend
Contribute to our open work culture through short weekly meetings and monthly team events
Report weekly to Swissloop Tunneling’s advisors through the updates slide deck
Attend weekly meetings and working sessions
Actively contribute to building the association’s culture
