Introduction

In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. Role and Responsibilities

At IBM: Business Development / Commercial Manager

* Lead end-to-end business development from opportunity identification to contract closure.
* Partner with clients to understand their needs and shape solutions leveraging IBM’s portfolio across consulting, cloud, data, and AI.
* Manage commercial discussions, pricing, and contractual negotiations in collaboration with delivery and legal teams.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships with senior business leaders.
* Coordinate cross-functional IBM teams (technical, delivery, finance) to ensure successful proposal delivery and project execution.
* Monitor pipeline, forecast revenue, and contribute to account growth strategies.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

* Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, consulting, or account management, preferably in enterprise IT or digital transformation.
* Strong understanding of commercial management, contracts, and financial models.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to shape and tell stories.
* Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and close complex deals.
* Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Fluent in English written and spoken.
* Swiss / EU nationality or valid Swiss work permit.


Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

* Background in management consulting or enterprise sales within technology or transformation services.
* Familiarity with IBM offerings, cloud platforms, or hybrid cloud environments.
* MBA or advanced business degree.
* Experience in leading multicultural teams or working in a global delivery environment.
