Commander of the Civil Protection Riviera-Pays d'Enhaut is a pioneering regional public safety entity that embodies a form of public action, bringing together several rescue services: Riviera Police, Riviera Ambulance, SDIS Riviera, ORPC Riviera – Pays-d'Enhaut. In addition to these areas, the management and the General Services form a transversal entity which includes the Office of Commerce and the Office of Mobility. Created in (year), following the merger of various rescue services active in the territory of the Vaud Riviera, the ASR currently has 250 employees and nearly 750 volunteers (PCi and volunteer firefighters) who combine commitment and a sense of service, the quality and reliability of actions, proximity, and a service-oriented spirit. It is responsible for neighborhood safety in the nine partner municipalities that compose it, namely Blonay - Saint-Légier, Chardonne, Corseaux, Corsier, Jongny, La Tour-de-Peilz, Montreux, Vevey, and Veytaux. Our regional civil protection also works through an organization for the municipalities of Château-d'Oex, Rossinière and in the framework of its activities, ASR is looking for a Commander of the Civil Protection Riviera-Pays d'Enhaut to strengthen its team.Missions:- Lead the regional Civil Protection Riviera - Pays-d'Enhaut.- Ensure the management of its entity and the management of financial and human resources.- Manage files, projects, or specific missions.- Ensure collaboration with local, cantonal authorities and other security partners.- Participate in the management of the ASR as a member of the management team.You have a higher qualification or are ready to pursue a CEMAP type course. You have a background as an officer in a security environment and have relevant experience. You attach great importance to the sense of responsibility and ethics of public service. Comfortable in dynamic contexts, you know how to adapt, manage unexpected situations, and adjust your priorities according to the needs and issues of the environment. You have solid skills and are also capable of de-escalating tensions, conducting discussions, and seeking balanced solutions. Possessing good analytical skills, you quickly understand sometimes complex situations, make thoughtful decisions— including under pressure— and ensure their implementation with leadership that enables you to unite teams, give meaning to collective action, and create a work environment based on trust. You have a perfect command of French, both spoken and written, and are comfortable with writing documents.
