Description
Taking AI projects from proof of concept to production is never trivial. Between experiment tracking, reproducibility, and production-ready pipelines, things get even more interesting with GenAI: prompt management, evaluation of non-deterministic outputs, and versioning become key challenges.
During this internship, you'll help design and build an internal X-Ops platform that supports AI, ML, and GenAI projects at ELCA. You'll start by exploring and comparing existing tools on the market, then turn your findings into a practical platform with reusable scripts and components that can easily be plugged into real client projects.
You won't work in isolation: you'll collaborate with AI, ML, and Data Engineers, interview them to understand their workflows, and turn their feedback into concrete recommendations. To make sure your ideas work in practice, you'll validate the platform on an existing project.
You'll dive into topics like LLM and RAG evaluation, A/B testing, and prompt lifecycle management, all while keeping production and deployment constraints in mind. Your work will directly improve how AI solutions are built, tested, and scaled at ELCA.

Skills required
* Comfortable with Python and scripting; some exposure to ML frameworks is a plus
* Curious about AI/ML workflows and MLOps topics
* Interested in tools like MLflow, Databricks, LangGraph, or similar
* Familiar with Git and basic software engineering practices
* Enjoys collaboration, learning, and solving real-world problems
