As a Senior Analytical Specialist - Naturals (m/f/d) in the Product Safety Science Laboratories of Vernier (Switzerland), you will analyze natural complex substances to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Reporting to the Director of Env. & Analytical Labs, you will:
* Be an Analytical Testing Expert: analyze fragrance raw materials in the PSS Labs, focusing on raw materials of natural origin. Conduct analyses of fragrance ingredients using established methodologies for the quantification of regulated substances and perform compositional analysis when needed, ensuring compliance and safety requirements for all raw materials.
* Be an Expert in Natural Products: use your expertise in natural complex substances to enhance the testing capabilities of the PSS Labs to better understand ingredient characterization. Contribute to adapting and developing new analytical methodologies and protocols to address regulatory challenges and safety assessments.
* Partner with stakeholders in solutions, involved in projects to provide added value for data integrity and the development of new naturals through your testing expertise.

Your success profile includes:
* Technical degree or Bachelor/Master's in a scientific field – preferably in Analytical Chemistry, Phytochemistry, or related sciences.
* 10 years of experience analyzing natural complex substances, such as plant extracts or essential oils, in academic or industrial laboratories.
* Proficiency in analyzing fragrance and cosmetic raw materials.
* Experience with chromatographic techniques, such as GC-MS, LC-HRMS, or GCxGC-MS.
* Experience with sample preparation techniques for plant extracts and natural substances analysis.
* Ability to independently perform laboratory operations and troubleshoot instruments.
* Experience in a GLP testing facility or similar quality assurance role is preferred.
* Knowledge of analytical composition of vegetal, plant, and natural substances concerning extraction processes.
* Understanding of fragrance raw materials.
* Background in analytical chemistry, especially in Liquid/Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry techniques.
* Knowledge of Method Validation is a plus.
* Good skills with Google applications and Excel.
* Experience with SAP, LIMS, and chromatographic data software like Masshunter, ChromaTOF, GC-Image, ChromSpace, TraceFinder, or Compound Discoverer.
* Good command of English (minimum B1-B2) and French.
* Strong organizational and timeline management skills.
