MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.
METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
Job Description
- Conduct credit risk analysis of a portfolio of new and existing counterparties
- Write in-depth credit analysis and submit credit recommendations to decision makers. Keep up-to-date credit risk ratings, probability of default and limits
- Monitor credit risk exposure and limit utilisation to prevent any credit losses. Actively remedy any breaches by proposing and implementing action plans
- Ensure compliance with internal credit risk policies
- Propose and negotiate security instruments (incoming and outgoing) such as company and bank guarantees, cash deposits or prepayments
- Manage credit insurance policies by ensuring insurance limits are up to date and premium accurately calculated. Provide reporting for the monthly declaration
- Assist with the negotiation of Master Netting and Trading Agreements such as EFETs and ISDAs as well as Credit Support Annexes (CSA)
- Engage with Front, Middle, Back Office and other support functions, closely work with colleagues and other teams
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Maintain the Credit Risk Management System, keep all credit records up to date i.e. credit risk ratings, probability of defaults and credit risk limits
- Assist the Front Office with payment recovery efforts from financially distressed counterparties
- Contribute to various projects and assist with ad hoc requests as required.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business
- 3-5 years in managing credit risk gained in a large organization or financial institution with a commodities trading focus
- Passionate about the energy sector
- Understanding of risk management and compliance is key
- Fluent in English, any other languages an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organizational and analytical skills
- Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
