An international Private Bank is looking for their new Lead Auditor in Basel.ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute end-to-end audits independently, from scoping through to reportingDraft clear, concise, and impactful audit reportsAct as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to senior managementMonitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendationsPrepare reports and statements for senior stakeholders, including audit leadership and board-level committeesTake ownership of assigned international locations, including risk assessments, audit planning, and stakeholder managementIdentify and assess emerging risks across financial crime, business conduct, and other evolving areasParticipate in special investigations, audits, and cross-functional projectsServe as a subject matter expert within the audit functionRequirementsMinimum of 5 years experience in banking audit (internal or external), including lead auditor responsibilitiesRelevant education in banking, finance, or business; professional certifications such as CIA, CFA, or equivalent preferredCertified public accountant qualification is an advantageStrong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and assess complex issuesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently with a hands-on and accountable approachStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with core banking systems is a plusWillingness to travel internationally on a regular basisFluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
