Together, we empower our people to develop solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of millions of patients while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic workplace for our colleagues.Job OverviewThe Global Finance Business Partner is a key member of the Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, providing strategic and operational financial insight to the Business Unit Automation and Tooling Solution and the Advantec Management Team (AMT). The role is responsible for driving a unified approach to financial performance measurement, reporting, and benchmarking across all relevant sites, while leading and developing a team of five full-time employees based in Taiwan.Main ResponsibilitiesGlobal Finance Business Partner to the Automation and Tooling Solutions business unit and leadership team, advising and influencing them on financial decisions and levers to optimize profit and ensure cost controlLead and develop a global Advantec Finance team, building talent and engagementDevelop, distribute and discuss monthly financial reporting packages, focusing on project and manufacturing performance, tracking productivity, material expenses, operating expenses, absorption, etc.Provide monthly reporting data (e.g. explanation of actuals, variance analysis vs budget, updated financial forecasts, CAPEX, working capital, cash balance, etc.) in time and according to the provided template to support the preparation of the group’s monthly management reportProvide the Business Unit heads with solid data, key metrics and in-depth analyses to support decision making and ad-hoc reporting requestsLead a team to establish and track the Business Unit performance (projects profitability, cost overrun anticipation and mitigation, new revenue streams design, milestone billing and WC optimization)Lead the BU financial Analysis and Planning cycles: project variance analysis, Percentage of Completion (PoC) margin reconciliation, continuous improvement, deferred revenue, working capital targets, etc.Own the Automation & Tooling budgeting process to assure OPEX, PEX, CAPEX are budgeted at the right level of granularity and within the correct functional area and correct cost center in time and ensure alignment with the budgeted headcount numbers.Calculate activity rates based on budgeted numbers, to calculate budgeted project Sales and COGS for the Automation and Tooling organization as well as expected over/under-absorption by cost centerDetect and discuss potentials in the business area with the relevant stakeholders to improve performance, efficiency or resultsDrive carve-out of automation and tooling segments and integration of newly created legal entities with newly acquired subsidiariesImplementation of functional P&L, set-up and testing of new company codes in SAP, creation of new cost centers and allocating together with HR headcount to the right functional area and cost centersImplementation of Percentage of Completion accounting for Automation and Tooling projects, including monthly planned cost updates on the full project portfolio to comply with financial accounting standards and allow proper revenue recognitionImplement intercompany pricing process and governance for automation and tooling organization to offer services to Medical business segment, including a solid quotation and invoicing processSupport process standardization across our Project Finance processes and engage across functionsMinimum of 10+ years of finance experience, including 5+ years in a manufacturing or engineering environmentKnowledge of Finance within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, or Manufacturing industries.Proven leadership capability, ideally with experience leading international teams.Independent and confident presentation style with the ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.Proficient in “story-telling,” with the ability to translate financial data into management presentations.Excellent problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.Solid experience with project costing and percentage of completionPositive, “can-do” attitude; an energetic leader able to gather energy and build followership.Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to gain trust at all levels of the organization.Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment.Responsible, resilient, and stress-resistant.Strong know-how of SAP S4, SAP PS, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW or other BI systemsFluent in English & German: both spoken and written.Preferred QualificationsBachelor degree in Business, Finance, Science, Industrial Engineering or similarFluent in Mandarin both spoken and written.We OfferChallenging assignments in a fast-growing and innovative industry.A multicultural team and modern working environment with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies.A place where we take pride in the inclusive and collaborative environment we have built - one where a true sense of belonging fosters meaningful exchange and shared growth.Various opportunities for personal and professional development within a global organization.Flexible hours and hybrid working policy.Interested in joining SHL Medical and in supporting us with your expertise and personality?
