Responsibilities
* Lead Strategic Growth & New Business Initiatives: Own business development programs end‑to‑end — from concept to commercialization. Drive pipeline expansion by engaging both new and existing pharma and biotech partners across early clinical phases through commercial supply.
* Shape Market Strategy & Insights: Develop deep, actionable market intelligence on drug delivery trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Translate pharma pipeline insights into strategic growth fields for BD.
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Stay ahead of industry developments across primary containers and delivery systems: cartridges, prefilled syringes, safety devices, pens, autoinjectors, wearable injectors, and more. Serve as the go‑to expert for internal teams and external partners.
* Champion Customer Engagement & Innovation: Interface directly with global pharma/biotech customers to understand requirements and identify new opportunities. Promote BD’s technical capabilities and product portfolio to drive adoption and partnership. Guide customers through combination product development programs.
* Drive Go‑to‑Market Execution: Collaborate with product platform teams to build and execute go‑to‑market strategies. Lead cross‑functional teams through lead qualification, innovation project management, and commercial agreement development.
* Build Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate partnerships across the pharma ecosystem to accelerate innovation. Represent BD at global industry conferences, trade shows, and scientific events.
* Strengthen Long‑Term Relationships: Manage key accounts with diplomacy, trust, and strategic influence. Maintain and expand relationships with senior decision‑makers and consultants worldwide.
What You Bring
* Senior background in R&D, Business Development, Project Management, or Customer Solution Management, with proven experience in developing PFS and injection devices (mandatory).
* Over 5 years of experience working with drug–device combination products within companies manufacturing auto‑injection solutions, including strong knowledge of injectable products, delivery systems, and medical device commercialization.
* Strong understanding of contract reviews, pricing strategies, P&L, COGS, and various pricing models.
* Demonstrated experience managing external suppliers, technical quotations, and industrial specifications.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt relational style to different stakeholders.
* Results‑driven mindset, constructive assertiveness, and the ability to thrive in complex or ambiguous environments.
* High international mobility
* Compensation range for the role: from 190kCHF to 230kCHF
