Job Description: Data Modeler/ Business Engineer- Banking vacancy for our Switzerland based client in the banking sector.
Your tasks:
*
Design and implement data models to support the replacement of legacy applications within a financial services environment
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical data models
*
Assess the impact of new applications on data structures and architecture
*
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance
*
Use visual tools (e.g., Dataiku, Alteryx, or similar) for data preparation and transformation
*
Document data models, definitions, and architecture for ongoing reference and governance
Your experience/knowledge:
*
Strong experience in data modeling and enterprise data architecture
*
Solid understanding of banking and financial products (e.g., instruments, transactions, reporting structures)
*
Proven experience working on large-scale data migrations or modernization projects
*
Proficiency in SQL is required
*
Hands-on experience with visual data tools such as Dataiku, Alteryx, or similar platforms
*
Understanding of how data supports business processes in a financial institution
*
Language: English (German is a plus)
