Hack already produces strong editorial content and high-quality events.
This role exists to ensure that this work lands at the right moment, in the right format, and travels as far as it deserves to.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who understands how attention works and how to make content resonate.
Tasks
Your Mission
Grow and activate Hack’s audience by identifying relevant signals and using them to frame, format, and distribute existing editorial and event content so it resonates, spreads, and compounds over time.
What You’ll Own
You are accountable for:
audience growth across Beehiiv and social channels
signal identification and prioritization
distribution strategy and execution
format performance and evolution
how content reach supports events, partnerships, and revenue
Core Responsibilities
Signal Identification & Opportunity Detection : Monitor emerging signals, conversations, and moments across:
hard tech & climate tech
founders, investors, and operators
Identify very early what is gaining traction, shifting narratives, or creating momentum
Share signal insights with Editorial and Events to inform: Timing, Angles, Formants
Act as an early-warning and early-opportunity system for distribution
Distribution‑Led Framing & Virality : Frame existing editorial content for distribution without altering its substance
Optimize hooks, headlines, formats, timing
Adapt content to platform dynamics and audience behavior
Increase shareability and reach through framing and format choices
Hands‑On Publishing & Execution :
Personally publish and manage content across: Beehiiv, LinkedIn, X
Turn existing content into high‑performing formats.
Maintain a consistent cadence without content fatigue
Format Design & Performance
Create or directly oversee distribution formats
Continuously test and iterate formats based on: performance, audience response, platform evolution
Know what feels: edgy vs outdated / relevant vs noisy / credible vs rubbish
Monetization & Sales Alignment: Work with Sales to align audience activity with commercial priorities to better monetize our content across channels.
Support: ticket sales, sponsor visibility, partner content formats
Help convert attention into concrete outcomes without compromising editorial integrity
Engagement & Public Presence
Engage selectively on LinkedIn to extend reach and relevance
Respond to inbound messages related to: content, events, partnerships (escalating when appropriate)
Help maintain a consistent, credible public presence for Hack.
Requirements
Who You Are
Background in audience growth, media distribution. You’ve built your own audience and want to join a strong brand.
Strong instinct for identifying signal and momentum
Comfortable shaping framing and formats without owning content substance
Hands‑on executor with strong visual and cultural taste
Commercially aware and pragmatic
Low ego, high ownership
