About the Role
The position reports to the Head of D/A/CH, one of four regions in our P&C EMEA division. Your mission is to market and underwrite profitable P&C Treaty business for Property Risk & Cat, Regional Casualty and Motor, and to manage relationships with P&C clients in the region.
Responsibilities
* Acquire and renew profitable business within PartnerRe’s risk appetite in the DACH region
* Underwrite clients and document decisions accordingly
* Price treaties in coordination with actuaries
* Market PartnerRe to clients and brokers in the region
* Participate in client visits, conferences, internal workshops and seminars
* Collaborate with other business units and functional areas such as Cat Modelling/Research, Pricing, Accounting, Claims, Wording and Operations
* Perform administrative tasks, including reviewing contractual documents, endorsements, data entry, and maintaining portfolio data quality
Qualifications
* 3 to 5 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting or pricing
* Basic understanding of Property Risk and Cat underwriting, modelling and pricing
* Experience in Casualty/Motor preferred
* Team‑player with strong social skills
* Readiness to travel frequently and demonstrate initiative and independent thinking
* Full professional proficiency in German and fluency in English
* Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel
