About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Outage Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex outage events from start to finish, including schedule development, resource allocation, and customer communication. They will also ensure proper execution documentation and quality management processes are in place.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage outage event preparation, including schedule development, resource allocation, and customer communication
- Ensure proper execution documentation and quality management processes are in place
- Lead large teams during outages, ensuring goals and requirements are met
- Drive improvement of vendor/sourcing cost, on-time delivery, and outage cost productivity implementation
- Work with IT applications for proper allocation, preparation, planning, and forecasting on labor, tooling, and vendor management
- Respond to forced outages/emergency promptly, investigate/escalate site issues to restore units to operating conditions in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Science/Business/Engineering or equivalent 4 years' experience in power generation industry
- Demonstrable experience in field service of power generation maintenance outage planning and execution
- Background in welding and qualification as a Welding Specialist
- Excellent planning skills
- Fluent in German and good English capabilities
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
Desirable Skills
- Strong technical & maintenance knowledge of Heat Exchangers
- Strong quality background
- PC proficiency, web applications including Excel skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of organization and external customers
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and influencing skill
Working Environment
The successful candidate will be deployed mainly in Switzerland but will be required to operate flexibly across Europe and the Service Region 2 to maximize utilization.
