Upper Primary Teacher (Maternity replacement) f/m
La Côte International School SA is a co‑educational, English‑language day school for students aged 3 to 18. Located in Aubonne, Switzerland, we are home to nearly 450 students from diverse cultures. We offer a strong International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and a supportive learning environment.
Job duration: 10 August 2026 – 31 July 2027 (100 % of a full‑time position).
Responsibilities:
* Deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children, ensuring that the individual needs and interests of each are met.
* Ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom.
* Build and maintain a strong partnership with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
* Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment enabling children to reach their potential.
* Contribute to a programme of trips, excursions, field trips and extracurricular activities.
* Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
Qualifications and skills:
* Bachelor in Education, PGCE or equivalent.
* At least five years of teaching experience, preferably in an international environment.
* Organised, proactive, excellent communicator and team player.
* Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
* Ability to inspire mixed‑culture and ability classes, creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
* Collaborative, innovative and student‑centred approach to education.
* Valid work permit.
* Clear criminal record.
