Design Control and Simulation Engineer in Power Electronic 80 - 100% (f/m/d) The opportunity
As “R&D Electrical Engineer – Power Electronics”, you will join the Central Europe Technology Center for Transformers, an organization leading research and development activities on Traction Transformers (TT) and Next-Generation Transformers. Your role will focus on Power Electronics projects as a Design control and simulation engineer.
You will be part of a global R&D community including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide. Our flexible work practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.
How you’ll make an impact
Control System Design: Design control algorithms and systems to manage and regulate the behavior of PE converters. This involves creating models that predict system behavior and developing control strategies to achieve desired performance.
Simulations: Use simulation tools to model and analyze the performance of PE systems.
Modeling: Develop averaged modeling of PE converters to understand and predict their behavior, employing small signal analysis and PE modeling techniques.
System Integration: Integrate PE systems with hardware and software platforms, ensuring seamless operation and communication between components.
Validation and Verification: Conduct rigorous testing, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and real-time testing, to ensure PE systems meet performance and safety standards.
Optimization: Improve control algorithms and system performance to enhance efficiency, reliability, and robustness.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop comprehensive solutions.
