The Junior International Accountant supports the finance team in managing accounting operations across three Swiss legal entities. This role also involves regular interactions with the international operations (Dubai, Croatia mainly).
The role is based in Canton Schwyz, within walking distance from the train station Freienbach. This is a chance to join a highly friendly workplace and contribute together to expanding the business globally, in close partnership with the head of finance, the CFO and the CEO of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
* Process invoices and payments for international vendors.
* Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections.
General Accounting
* Record and reconcile daily transactions in multiple currencies.
* Maintain accurate general ledger entries for international entities.
Compliance
* Ensure adherence to IFRS and local GAAP standards.
* Assist with tax filings and regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions.
Audit Support
* Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
Cross-Border Transactions
* Handle foreign exchange adjustments and intercompany transactions.
Process Improvement
* Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred), or Fachausweis
Experience
* 0–2 years of accounting experience (internship or entry-level role preferred).
* Exposure to international accounting or multi-currency transactions is a plus.
Skills
* Strong understanding of accounting principles
* Affinitiy with accounting software (the company works with Netsuite and Embat).
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
