Overview
We are seeking an English-qualified lawyer, focusing on banking and general commercial matters. This role is ideal for someone with 1–5 years of post-qualification experience.
Responsibilities
* Advise clients on legal aspects of international contracts for the sale or purchase of material
* Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, and financial contracts
* Ensure compliance with banking regulations and financial laws
* Support structured finance, project finance, and real estate finance transactions
* Provide legal support across various departments, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
* Draft and review contracts and internal policies
* Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on diverse legal topics
* Assist in dispute resolution and liaise with external counsel when needed
* Participate in client meetings and negotiations
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Stay updated on legal developments and advise on implications for the business
Your Profile
* Law degree and bar admission, preferably in a common law or mixed common / civil law jurisdiction
* 1–5 years PQE in banking, finance, or general commercial law
* English mother tongue, proficiency with the Italian language will be a very strong plus
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and analytical abilities
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
* High level of professional ethics and integrity
