Our transversal Group Technology R&D is seeking a Software Developer to join our team and develop a new HMI for our Quality Control Products. You will report to the Embedded Software Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams and experts within our organization.
The BOBST Group Technology division drives innovative technology and product development to lead digital transformation in the packaging industry. The Quality Control Product team, which develops the next generation of machine vision products, is looking for a talented Senior Embedded Backend Software Developer to participate in designing, implementing, and testing our products that enhance our machines' competitiveness.
In this role, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Working in an industrial environment with embedded equipment
2. Defining and building a new unified embedded architecture within the Frontend Platform Team
3. Developing the backend for a web-based frontend solution
4. Maintaining and improving the embedded backend setup and deployment
5. Utilizing Azure DevOps tools to create automated testing and deployment pipelines
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement software requirements following architecture best practices
7. Defining test specifications and implementing automated tests
8. Writing documentation in English
Candidate requirements include:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2. Proficiency in C#
3. Experience with Node.js is a plus
4. Experience interfacing with APIs and automation (OPC-UA)
5. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker on embedded Windows/Linux systems
6. Good knowledge of REST API design and automated testing tools like Playwright or Cypress
7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines
8. Experience working in an Agile team
9. Excellent spoken and written English; French is desirable
10. Open-mindedness to learn new skills
