Responsibilities
Assess customer priorities and transformation strategies in discovery conversations.
Collaborate with the wider Sales Team to develop a winning sales strategy.
Translate business requirements into solutions for our customers.
Compose and deliver superior sales presentations and demonstrations covering SAP procurement value proposition and software solutions to prospective client audiences, articulating the sales message, differentiating SAP, and leaving a strong positive impression on senior company executives.
Respond to RfX inquiries within set deadlines in cooperation with the global RfX Center of Excellence.
Involve partners in opportunities and support them to sell effectively.
Act as a “solution captain” for deals that require complex solutions and multiple expert contributors.
Provide limited post‑sale support, such as innovation presentations and best practices.
Support one‑to‑many sales and marketing events.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.
Maintain a high‑level knowledge of SAP’s procurement/supply chain solution suite in your area of responsibility.
Understand key competitors and ensure local team members leverage SAP’s unique value propositions in every customer interaction.
Deliver high‑volume, short‑duration work packages.
Education
A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; an advanced degree such as a master’s, MBA, or PhD is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, procurement excellence, or customer‑facing roles such as consulting, presales, or product/solution management.
Experience with end‑to‑end processes/solution matching and IT architectures, preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, is a plus.
Skills
Solid understanding of business processes in procurement and supply chain (source to pay).
Experience with SAP Spend Management (Ariba / Fieldglass) and Business Network or competitor products. Knowledge of SAP ERP expertise is a plus.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Proven interpersonal and team skills at all levels and in multi‑cultural environments.
Proficiency in German and English at a business fluency level is essential; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
