The R&D Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of complex R&D projects related to medical devices, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Reporting to the R&D Manager or Associate Director, the role involves collaborating with surgeons to gather clinical feedback.
The candidate will be responsible for:
Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for R&D projects, ensuring successful execution;
Collaborating with surgeons to gather clinical feedback and applying insights to optimize product development;
Working with engineering, regulatory, and marketing teams to meet quality and regulatory standards;
Managing communication with stakeholders, providing updates, and addressing risks;
Identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies;
Ensuring optimal resource utilization, working with team leads and department heads;
Maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance;
Resolving project issues efficiently to minimize impact on deadlines;
Providing leadership and fostering a collaborative environment within project teams.
Hard Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent;
Over 2 years of project management experience in the medical device industry, with successful R&D project leadership;
Understanding of the product development lifecycle, including stakeholder engagement;
Experience interacting with surgeons and medical experts;
Fluent in English.

Strong planning, execution, and resource management skills;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration;
Analytical skills for risk identification and issue resolution;
Willingness to travel for congresses and meetings.
