1. Conduct feasibility studies and define optical and vision system specs for real-time defect detection, OCR, and precision measurement
2. Design and prototype optical hardware (lenses, lighting, sensors), perform simulations and tolerancing using tools like Zemax, LightTools, or Code V
3. Develop and optimize vision algorithms using OpenCV, VisionPro, Python, C#, TensorFlow/PyTorch
4. Integrate imaging systems with robotics (UR, Staubli), sensors, and industrial communication (TCP/IP, MQTT)
5. Perform on-site deployment, calibration, client training, and support of vision systems
6. Lead documentation, system validation, and continuous performance optimization
7. Master’s or PhD in Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, Medical Physics, Photonics, or similar PhD: typically with 5+ years of experience post-degreeMaster’s: with 3+ years of relevant experience
8. Strong background in optical imaging (OCT, fluorescence, interferometry) and metrology
