Overview
We are currently looking for a Head of Channel Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving PMI Global Travel Retail’s commercial strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and developing innovative commercial opportunities aligned with major consumer trends, governing channel-specific strategies, and establishing frameworks and models that ensure commercial excellence across categories and channels. The role requires a deep understanding of value propositions, consumer behavior, and channel dynamics to unlock growth and deliver sustainable business impact.
Your day to day
* Assess business's performance with regards to categories, channels and locations as well as other internal and external factors (consumer, competition, channels and industry) impacting profitability, SoM and revenue growth opportunities. Use fact based, data driven analysis to synthetize information, draw insights and conclusions and formulate a comprehensive commercial strategy and business development formula.
* Develop and oversee channel-specific strategies to optimize performance and consumer engagement while ensuring consistency and excellence in execution across all commercial channels through partnering with regional and global teams to harmonize channel approaches and share best practices.
* Understand the global/local mega trends, categories' strategies and translate them into global prioritization in an effort to reach optimum level of capacity utilization across all teams while reaching executional excellence in all fronts.
* Build and nurture strategic partnerships to unlock new commercial channels and strengthen our competitive position within existing ones, leveraging synergies that align with consumer needs, customer expectations and business objectives.
* Champion the integration of AI-driven solutions across the commercial value chain to address volatility in the travel business, enhance consumer experiences, and unlock cost efficiencies through transformative innovation.
* Jointly work with Category Heads to identify right portfolio assortment within the priority channels based on an in-depth understanding of the consumer base transiting in the different geographies that have a strong channel presence.
* Work together with Area Deployment Heads to identify the main KAs partners across the channel and formulate a cohesive negotiation strategy that foster category growth within the channel.
* Partner with S&PD to develop a cohesive pricing and trade remuneration strategy based on an in-depth understanding of the channel and the main strategic levels to achieve business objectives for the channel.
Qualifications
* College/University Degree in relevant fields
* Experience as BDP, consulting and/or B2B Commercial in a PMI domestic affiliate, other similar FMCG multinational companies and/or top consulting firms
