Software Development Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technology department, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining applications within the Guidewire suite.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with agile teams, architects, product and process experts, and other stakeholders to implement future products, processes, and technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement Guidewire solutions, ideally PolicyCenter, and configure/customize Guidewire applications using the Gosu programming language.
You will also integrate Guidewire products with external systems such as third-party services, databases, and legacy systems, ensuring seamless interactions and data exchange.
The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on Guidewire experience, preferably with Cloud Platform (GWCP), and a strong understanding of Guidewire Data and Product Models.
You should be proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps, focusing on high code quality and understanding CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement Guidewire solutions, including PolicyCenter configuration and customization.
* Integrate Guidewire products with external systems, ensuring smooth data exchange and interactions.
* Collaborate with agile teams, architects, and stakeholders to implement future technologies and products.
* Provide technical expertise in Guidewire upgrades, enhancements, and new feature implementations.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent, with 6+ (or 8+) years of programming experience, preferably in a Guidewire environment.
* Several years of hands-on Guidewire experience, preferably with Cloud Platform (GWCP), and a strong understanding of Guidewire Data and Product Models.
* Experience with Guidewire configuration and integration, understanding integration patterns, microservices, and API design.
* Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps, focusing on high code quality and understanding CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
