Job Description
Your daily tasks & responsibilities
1. As part of the Systems Engineering Team you design installations and modifications with focus on aircraft cabin noise reduction
2. Support the in-house acoustic laboratory with selection of equipment, development and implementation of standards and test procedures
3. Ensure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially within the Design Organization, with Production and Maintenance and with external partners and suppliers
4. Support the Team Leader Mechanical Design Engineering in administrative and organizational tasks
5. Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designed
Main Activities
6. Conduct in-house tests of materials and assemblies
7. Preparation of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures and installation instructions
8. Support designs with acoustic analysis and calculations
9. Preparation of mechanical drawings (2D/3D-CAD)
10. Support and perform noise measurement ground and flight tests
11. Resolve installation process and noise treatment issues; provide recommendation for enhancements
12. All other duties assigned
The expertise you have & skills you bring
13. Engineering Degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or relevant field
14. Profound knowledge of the principles of sound and vibration
15. Ideally 3+ years of experience in an acoustic engineering role
16. Proactive Teamplayer with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – additionally French and/or German is advantageous
17. Proficient in MS Office and popular 2D/3D design software
18. Must show high initiative, be self-motivated, and have ability to act independently on technical matters, manage time effectively
