Your Impact:
As a key member of our Technology & Sustainability function, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Clariant's innovation future. With an impressive innovation sales portfolio of CHF 600M and a pipeline exceeding CHF 1bn, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our global sustainability journey.
Key Priorities:
Pioneer our Corporate Innovation Strategy, setting ambitious targets that drive sustainable growth
Provide critical foundational input that shapes Clariant's strategic direction and decision-making
Lead a dynamic team of 8-10 professionals while steering innovation activities across business units worldwide
Establish and drive strategic management frameworks to align research priorities with business objectives
Orchestrate sustainability-driven portfolio transformation, leveraging public funding opportunities
Champion innovation capabilities and culture through targeted training programs
Direct and optimize resource allocation across research initiatives
Design and implement strategic roadmapping and scenario planning processes
Build and nurture relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
Leverage industry knowledge to identify emerging market opportunities in specialty chemicals
Connect innovation strategy to chemical industry trends and regulatory developments
Catalyze collaboration between research teams and commercial functions

Your Experience:
Advanced degree in a field relevant to the chemical industry, or equivalent experience (MBA is a plus)
10+ years of business experience, including strategy consulting and/or innovation leadership in the chemical industry
Proven track record in orchestrating complex innovation programs across multiple business units
Experience applying strategic frameworks to drive business transformation
Experience with organizational transformation and agile methodologies
Understanding of chemical industry value chains and market dynamics (direct industry experience preferred but not required for strong consulting candidates)
Deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends
