SAP CPI Consultant II – Application Management Services (AMS) Support Provide Level 2/3 support for SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) interfaces across the client’s landscape. Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of mission-critical business integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities Incident and Problem Management Incident Resolution – troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve incidents related to SAP CPI interfaces, iFlows, and connectivity issues within assigned SLAs.
Root Cause Analysis – perform RCA for recurring or critical incidents, propose permanent fixes, and implement preventative measures.
Ticket Management – use ITSM tools (e.g., SAP SolMan, ServiceNow) to manage the full lifecycle of incidents, service requests, and problems.
Interface Monitoring – proactively monitor the health of CPI integrations using CPI monitoring tools, SAP Cloud ALM or external solutions.
Maintenance and Change Management Minor Enhancements – implement minor changes, bug fixes, and continuous improvement initiatives for existing iFlows, mappings and configurations.
Deployment and Transport – manage the transport of CPI artifacts across tenants (DEV, QA, PROD) following change-management processes.
Documentation – maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge articles, run books and interface‑landscape diagrams.
System Upgrades – participate in testing and validation during SAP system upgrades, patches and CPI version updates.
Technical and Collaborative Technical Deep Dive – perform error handling, message reprocessing and configuration adjustments within the CPI tenant.
Collaboration – work closely with cross‑functional teams, SAP functional consultants, business users and third‑party vendors.
On‑Call Support – participate in an on‑call rotation for off‑hours and weekend support of critical business processes.
Job Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise Hands‑on experience designing, developing and supporting iFlows in SAP CPI.
Proficiency with CPI adapters: SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, HTTP, Process Direct.
Data transformation skills in XML, JSON, XSLT and Groovy scripting.
Understanding of SAP landscape integration points (S/4HANA, ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, C4C).
Security concepts including OAuth 2.0, SAML, Basic Auth, Certificate‑based authentication.
Experience with SAP Cloud Connector for secure connectivity to on‑premise systems.
Six+ years of SAP integration experience, with at least two years in SAP CPI/Integration Suite.
Prior AMS or L2/L3 support role is a plus.
General Skills Problem‑solving & analysis – diagnose and resolve complex integration issues quickly.
ITSM knowledge – familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
Communication – excellent verbal and written skills to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education – bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
