Anlagen Apparatebauer / Sheet Metal Worker
Objectives for the job: Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment for general aviation aircraft. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks or forms using hammer operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints burred surfaces.
Job Responsibilities: Lay out sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions
Alter an existing part using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal commands
Rivet and sheet metal component removal
Bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts
Drill various metals. Deburr holes and cut lines
Set up for countersinking and dimpling of holes
Set up for and install solid rivets with a rivet gun and or squeeze tool
Install blind rivets and fasteners
Ensure parts meet quality specifications and requirements
Use mechanic's hand tools and measuring devices, such as a scale or protractor
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications: Graduated Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal field or similar
Preferably diversified aviation sheet metal experience
Hands-on experience as a Sheet Metal Worker
Self-motivated team player
European citizen or with permission to work in Switzerland
Fluent in English and preferably also in German; any other language is a plus
