Electrical Engineer – Handheld Medical Devices
Duration of the contract: Until 31st December 2026
Hours per week: 40 hours (4 days onsite, 1 day home office)
Essential: English & German required | 3 years+ medical device experience | Handheld & battery-powered product expertise
roles and responsibilities
You will provide technical leadership for in-market product maintenance and regulatory-compliant design updates.
This will involve:
* Technical support for Life Cycle Management activities (product maintenance, design changes).
* Support design changes (Change Requests), including technical assessment and documentation.
* Conduct and support risk management and FMEAs.
how to succeed
You are a structured, solution-oriented engineer with a deep understanding of the rigorous standards required in a regulated environment.
You will also bring:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
* 3–8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in medical devices
* Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, Microcontrollers, and power management
* Experience with medical device standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485, CE, FDA)
* Experience with battery-powered, handheld devices
* Proven ability to work with external suppliers and test laboratories
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for until 31st December 2026.
