Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
Summary of Role
This client-facing role combines technical expertise with deep knowledge of sustainability topics such as climate change, circular economy, and decarbonization. The position involves supporting clients in developing sustainability strategies, setting targets, evaluating climate risks and opportunities, and measuring and reporting progress. Additionally, the role contributes to go-to-market initiatives and helps coordinate international delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Proposing solutions to Clients sustainability challenges in area of expertise
* Supporting clients in their decarbonisation journey by reducing business and climate-related risks across their value chains
* Guiding clients through quantitative and technical solutions like climate scenario analyses for TCFD, Swiss Climate Ordinance, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy, enabling them to assess financial impacts, evaluate and formulate net zero transition plans, and integrate sustainability and climate into overall business strategies
* Working together with colleagues to build quantitative climate risk and technical decarbonization modelling capabilities, and expand offerings in nature and biodiversity
* Conducting technical research on a broad range of environmental and sustainability topics including, climate risks, climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental remediation, sustainable construction, resource-use efficiency, among others
* Communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to clearly convey technical concepts and translate complex models into actionable business decisions
* Contributing to the development of internal QA standards, best practices and digital tools
* Develops and maintains strong relationships with key client contacts. Understands client needs and challenges. Begins to act as a trusted advisor.
* Contributing to the development of project plans, including defining scope, and timelines.
* Managing small to medium-sized projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Proactively identifies and addresses client concerns, ensuring client satisfaction.
* Maintains a library of case studies, methodologies, and best practices.
* Ensures information is readily accessible to the team.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Key Requirements
1. 3 to 5 years relevant experience
2. Solid technical understanding of various sustainability topics
3. Degree / background in natural sciences preferred but not essential
4. Full working proficiency in English, French and / or German
5. Open-minded and entrepreneurial
6. General team player - ability to work with international teams, willingness to take responsibility, multi-tasking etc.
7. Management experience
8. Eligible to work in Switzerland
