Job Description
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Scientist - AI/ML to help advance AI/ML for Drug Design. The primary location for this position is High Wycombe, UK, or in Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France, with up to 10% travel. Remote working options will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Data Science Analytics & Insights team develops innovative solutions using diverse data sources across multiple disease areas, including oncology, cardiovascular, immunology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases. We seek a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to work at the intersection of AI/ML and Drug Design.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement AI/ML solutions for drug design, including molecule structure prediction and property prediction, to identify potential effective drugs.
* Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, imaging experts, structural biologists, and computational chemists to design approaches, analyze results, and communicate findings through presentations, conferences, and publications.
* Participate in cross-functional collaborations with external companies, academia, and internal teams.
* Engage in hands-on coding and contribute to platform development.
* Articulate technical methods and results to diverse audiences to support decision-making and scientific dissemination.
Qualifications
* Ph.D. in EE/CS/Statistics/Applied Math or related fields.
* Expertise in causality, Bayesian experimental design, probabilistic models such as Gaussian processes, Bayesian deep learning, or dynamical systems.
* Publication record in top machine learning conferences or statistical journals.
* Proficiency in programming languages like Python or C++, and AI frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
* Familiarity with drug discovery and clinical development is a plus.
* Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and dockerization is a plus.
