This will include the development and implementation and on-going management of category strategies, contracting for master/service agreements, management of supplier relationships and for ensuring the suppliers key to the categories commit to deliver GSK's performance/quality/financial requirements. The Evidence Generation category covers fee for service outsourcing aligned with our Real World Evidence and Health Outcomes team in Global Medical/Chief Patient Officer Organisation and the Global Epidemiology teams in R&D. Evidence Generation represents a range of critical non-interventional services that provide commercially relevant and scientifically rigorous evidence to elevate our product's value proposition and reimbursement potential. These include:Non-Interventional Studies: Primary Data Collection and Secondary Data Studies and AnalysisAnalysis on Human Subject Research (HSR): Literature Reviews, Global Value Dossiers, Economic ModelsStrategy/Consulting: Data Analysis, Evidence Generation ConsultingData LicensingEvidence Generation is used throughout the product life cycle as GSK shares scientific information about our pipeline and in-line products - helping us to be Ambitious for Patients.In this role you will… Manage and support Global Medical categories.Develop strategies together with the Chief Patient Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Clinical stakeholders.Be responsible for contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation, and maintenance; conducting negotiations across the applicable categories of spendWork across multiple countries and business units requiring high cultural awarenessEstablish strong partnerships with the Business Owner(s) and Supplier(s) to understand business challenges and develop simplified, cost-effective resolutionsProactively liaise with functional groups to determine scope of category services, suitability of suppliers, competitive bid analysis (RFPs), and identification of areas in which efficiencies can be gainedBecome familiar with and utilise complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk / regulatory / compliance requirementsImplement and support procurement strategies to maximise supplier leverageGain significant external supplier knowledgeIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce nonvalue added work and maximise use of efficient buying channelsContribute to the R&D procurement savings targets year on yearWhy you?
