The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Post Doctorate Scientist with expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) and molecular biology to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in developing and optimizing complex NGS workflows, protein biochemistry, and molecular assays, with a passion for translating experimental data into actionable insights.
The opportunity
* Develop, prepare, and optimize complex NGS workflows, including protocols for Illumina platforms, particularly from low-input RNA samples, ensuring reproducibility and high data quality.
* Execute a broad range of molecular biology and biochemical techniques, including PCR, RT-qPCR, cloning, in vitro transcription, and western blotting.
* Perform protein expression, purification (e.g., affinity, ion exchange chromatography using systems like ÄKTA), and characterization to support experimental goals.
* Design, troubleshoot, and optimize experimental protocols to achieve high-quality results and meet project objectives.
* Conduct in vitro protein-nucleic acid interaction assays such as Bind-n-Seq, CLIP, SELEX, EMSA, or related techniques.
* Analyze NGS datasets using Python or R, applying bioinformatics skills and familiarity with machine learning concepts where appropriate.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design experiments, interpret results, and contribute to scientific publications.
Who you are
* Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field.
* Demonstrable expertise in NGS library preparation and workflow optimization.
* Familiarity with advanced chromatography systems, such as ÄKTA, for protein purification.
* Prior experience in designing experiments integrating molecular biology and computational analysis.
* Strong foundation in protein biochemistry, including expression, purification, and characterization techniques.
* Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, RT-qPCR, cloning, in vitro transcription, and western blotting.
* Hands-on experience with in vitro protein-nucleic acid interaction assays.
* Solid foundation in bioinformatics, with experience analyzing NGS data using Python or R; working knowledge of machine learning concepts is a plus.
We are looking forward to your application
