Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures Google Cloud's services—both internally critical and externally visible—have reliable uptime and continuous improvement. SREs monitor system capacity and performance to ensure optimal operation.
The role involves optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and automating tasks. You’ll manage the unique challenges of scale within Google Cloud, applying your expertise in coding, algorithms, and large-scale system design. Responsibilities
* Write code for product or system development.
* Review and provide feedback on code developed by others to ensure quality and best practices.
* Update and contribute to documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
* Triage, debug, and resolve system issues, analyzing their sources and impact on hardware, network, or service quality.
* Participate in or lead design reviews to select appropriate technologies.
