About the Role
This position sits at the intersection of portfolio strategy, organisational culture, and external visibility. You will support the RDS Core Lab Customer Area, one of the most influential segments within Roche Diagnostics, and contribute to shaping how Roche communicates its commitment to patients, innovation, and diagnostic excellence.
Reporting to the Head of RDS Portfolio Strategy, you will collaborate closely with the global RDS Communications team, Customer Areas, affiliates, and cross‑functional partners. Your work will influence how teams align, how leaders communicate, and how Roche’s diagnostic mission is perceived internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute cross‑portfolio communication planning and measurement frameworks
Design integrated communication strategies that engage, inspire, and align internal and external audiences
Partner with RDS Portfolio Strategy, Customer Area Communications Business Partners, and the RDS Leadership Team to ensure impactful, measurable communication outcomes
Contribute to global communication initiatives and manage external vendors when needed
Establish effective ways of working, resource allocation models, and outcome‑based planning to enhance operational efficiency
Continuously evaluate communication effectiveness using innovative tools (including GenAI) and support the development of digital and social communication capabilities
Ensure compliance with Roche’s ethics and communication standards; mentor project teams and support affiliate communicators
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
Minimum 2 years of experience as an in‑house corporate communicator in a global or regional organisation, ideally in Pharma, Diagnostics, Medical Devices, or Consumer Healthcare
Proven experience developing and executing communication strategies in complex matrix environments
Strong executive presence and the ability to quickly understand business needs and advise leaders
High self‑motivation and ability to thrive in non‑hierarchical, self‑organising environments
Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex content into clear, engaging messages
Strong interpersonal skills, intercultural sensitivity, and relationship‑building capabilities
Experience in digital transformation and change communication is an advantage
Fluency in English (German skills are an advantage)
