Independent support of financial accounting, including preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligation. Financial accountant works in close co-operation with colleagues within Group Finance and HR.
We will tailor the responsibilities to match the final workload, ensuring a balanced and manageable scope.
Main responsibilities
* Manage bank accounts, in- and outgoing payments (various currencies, analysis, debt reconciliations)
* Preparing and executing payment runs
* Daily Accounting
* Customer & Development Project accounting
* Review of employee expense reports
* Handle VAT (import & export, tax returns, deductions) and prepare tax returns
* Independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
* Assets & inventory accounting
* General ledger tasks and financial projects
* Administrative support within the finance department
* Maintaining master data (vendors, customers)
Your profile
* Completed commercial apprenticeship (EFZ or equivalent)
* Further education in accounting (e.g. Sachbearbeiter Finanz- und Rechnungswesen or in progress)
* Several years of experience in accounting, preferably in a Swiss SME
* Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting principles and VAT mandatory
* Proficient in MS Office and common accounting software (current system is Proffix)
* Experienced MS Excel user with strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
* Fluent in German and comfortable communicating in English (corporate language)
* Accurate, reliable, and proactive working style
* Well-integrated in Swiss culture with an understanding of local business practices
* A team player with a hands-on mentality and willingness to grow
