About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work in an agile team and be responsible for the development, automation and integration of customized solutions. You will maintain and further develop applications for cloud automation, ensure their operation, and utilize various technologies. Your expertise includes the administration and optimization of Kubernetes clusters as well as the implementation of customer requirements and the processing of incidents and changes. Together with your team, you will support our customers in their digital transformation and ensure continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure. Thanks to your ability to solve complex problems and your knowledge of Windows and Linux, you will make a significant contribution to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
Further development of the SOC platform based on Splunk as SIEM
Automation of deployments with Jenkins and SOC processes with SOAR
Software development in an exciting environment with modern tools and technologies
Working in a motivated team with a high degree of flexibility and creative freedom
Working on existing applications and migrations to new tech stacks
Use of leading technologies with the highest security requirements
Support in the migration of legacy services to cloud platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS & Azure)
Close collaboration with agile teams in a multicultural environment
Qualifications
Degree in computer science (Uni/UAS/PEI/Federal VET Diploma) or equivalent professional experience
Experience in software development and working with modern DevOps practices
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins)
Sound experience in dealing with Linux and Windows server environments
Knowledge of container orchestration and automation (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible)
Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code
Good knowledge of network technologies and security (e.g. TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, load balancing)
Experience in working with web technologies and APIs (e.g. HTML, JavaScript)
Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
Very good German and English
Team- and solution-orientated as well as quality-conscious and communicative personality
Enthusiasm for working in an agile environment with methods such as Scrum and Kanban
Ability to penetrate complex problems and act in a solution-oriented manner
Willingness to learn and motivation to acquire new skills and develop further
