We are seeking a passionate and motivated Product Developer to join our Global Product Development team at our Milan location.
Key Responsibilities
Support Product Development in the realization of assigned styles, from design to final product, leveraging technical skills and attention to detail.
Participate in handover meetings with the design team, proactively offering suggestions for improved construction, aesthetics, and manufacturing processes.
Create and update for each product the Technical Pack (including sketches, artworks, etc.) and Bill of Material (BOM) during prototype, SMS, and bulk production phases.
Coordinate the delivery of prototypes, SMS, and PPS according to the brand calendar, collaborating with regional sourcing teams.
Provide guidance to achieve cost targets, ensuring alignment between style details and construction techniques.
Plan and track the development schedule of all products to ensure timely completion.
Receive, evaluate, and manage samples, implementing changes agreed during reviews and fitting sessions.
Approve strike offs, mock-ups, and graphics when requested.
Maintain constant communication with regional offices and buying offices to ensure a correct and timely product outcome.
Support fitting sessions together with Product Development, designers, and pattern makers, ensuring execution of fit intent and fit standards.
Interact with all brand departments, raw material sourcing, pattern makers, design, factories/vendors, and other cross-functional teams.
Proactively promote sustainable solutions.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in product development within a medium or large-sized apparel company.
Basic knowledge of garment construction.
Basic understanding of product categories, materials, manufacturing processes, and product development lifecycle.
Ability to build trust and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Strong desire to learn and curiosity for product and innovation.
Proactive problem-solving attitude.
Deadline-driven and organized mindset.
Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, and 3D CADs.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
A Bachelor's or master's degree in design (Apparel), Engineering, or Manufacturing is preferred, but we value your overall experience and professional achievements most.
