Solution Advisor (f/m/d) S/4HANA Cloud

About The Role

The Solution Advisor Senior Specialist possesses expert-level knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud (SAP ERP) Applications and participates in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team, supporting the sales account strategy. They leverage their deep expertise to support the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to post-sale customer adoption.

A Solution Advisor Senior Specialist S/4HANA Cloud interacts with prospective customers through executive meetings and presentations, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, and follow-up discussions. The primary role of the Solution Advisor Senior Specialist during an active sales cycle is to gain the customer's acceptance that the SAP solution can solve their problem. It is the right choice over the other competitive offerings.

The Solution Advisor Senior Specialist S/4HANA Cloud acts as a trusted advisor to customers and partners. They engage with SAP Sales teams and SAP partners to identify the value S/4HANA Cloud brings to our customers and explain how this value can be realized. This includes collaborations to drive transformational sales cycles and activities such as bidding, creating S/4HANA Cloud proposal scenarios, transformation scenarios, business capability analysis, Bill-of-Material definition, and “fast-time-to-value” scenario proposals.

What You’ll Do

The Solution Advisor Senior Specialist plays a crucial role in creating and delivering exceptional sales presentations on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, tailored specifically for a diverse range of audiences, including top-tier company executives.

Key tasks include (not limited to)

Deal Support


* Collaborate with Account Team members (Architects, Sales, Services, Bid Centre, other solution advisors ...), providing deal support to opportunities across industries.
* Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with prospects/customers to build relationships with them and understand their unique needs.
* Compose and deliver S/4HANA Cloud presentations to prospective customer audiences with the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression on a diverse range of customer stakeholders across various industries, including CFOs and other CXOs, as well as hands-on end users.
* Deliver personalized/standard demos of SAP S/4HANA, preferably in the area of Finance, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain.
* Identify, articulate, and present innovations from SAP that could be useful for customers, including topics of Business AI and Sustainability.
* Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
* Support RFx completion in support of customer proposals.
* Provide limited post-sale support to key customers, primarily to the project/implementation team, to ensure a smooth transition.
* Effectively leverage support teams who are there to support presales success. (Global / Regional Solution Specialists, Domain Experts, Solution Hubs, Product Management).
* Create a memorable experience with an intended impact across all interactions with our customers by ensuring adherence to the operational best practices, such as:
* Ensuring quality and empathetic discovery sessions, aiming to understand the customer's business transformation requirements to the cloud.
* Identify priorities to focus on for a customer’s business transformation (using the results from Signavio Process Insights)
* Executing dry runs and presenting SAP’s compelling user experience for all use cases
* Execute Digital Discovery Assessment
* Articulate S/4HANA Cloud competitive advantage to customers and prospects

Business Development Support

* Identify and execute demand generation activities in collaboration with the sales teams and marketing to ensure sufficient pipeline coverage for the Business Suite and S/4HANA Cloud in particular.
* Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and remotely.
* Facilitate and guide customer visits at our Customer Experience Center, emphasizing the benefits of S/4HANA Cloud alongside SAP's comprehensive strategic vision.
* Lead & support customer workshops to promote new and innovative solutions for customers and prospects.

What You Bring

* Bachelor’s / master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
* 5-10 years of consultant/presales experience in core ERP.
* Good knowledge of S/4HANA Cloud in Finance, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain. Knowledge of additional modules or extensions/such as Group Reporting, is a plus.
* Functional process knowledge in ERP and a good understanding of SAP product strategies.
* Professional working experience in Consultative Sales, Presales, Product Management, Implementation Consulting, or Business Consulting.
* End-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or consulting experience is highly desirable.
* Affinity with AI. Experience with the SAP AI strategy is a plus.
* Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate Customer Value.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English and German with a passion for creating convincing customer acquisition strategies.
