Cluster Berne – Lausanne Director of Sales – Leisure Segment

As part of our commercial development, we are seeking a Cluster Director of Sales – Leisure
Segment for our hotels in Bern, Hotel Schweizerhof, and Lausanne, Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa. She/he will be responsible for strengthening our presence in the international leisure market and
contributing to the overall commercial performance of the cluster. The position involves frequent
international travel, strong field presence, and close collaboration with the Sales teams in Bern and
Lausanne, the Revenue Management department, and the General Management of both properties on all strategic aspects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Business Development – Leisure Segment
* Develop, lead, and execute the overall commercial strategy to meet and exceed budgeted revenue targets.
* Define and drive the leisure segment sales strategy for the Cluster.
* Develop, manage, and strengthen the leisure client portfolio (agencies, tour operators, consortia, wholesalers, leisure groups) for the Cluster.
* Identify opportunities in existing and emerging markets, analyze industry trends, and propose targeted actions to increase revenue.
* Identify growth drivers, emerging markets, and strategic partners.
* Represent the hotels at international trade fairs, roadshows, fam trips, and leisurefocused events.
* Proactively manage the relationship with Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) as the Cluster representative within the network.
* Manage commercial relationships with Sales Representatives across international markets.
Account Management & Partner Relations
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key leisure accounts, ensuring personalized follow-up in line with the five-star standards of both properties.
* Act as the main point of contact for strategic partners, ensuring smooth, proactive communication.
Analysis & Market Intelligence
* Analyze, monitor, and interpret performance data (STR, P&L, forecasts, pace reports, customer mix), purchasing behavior, and local and international economic trends.
* Conduct regular competitive and SWOT analyses to anticipate market developments.
* Identify and recommend corrective and preventive actions based on performance results.
Representation & Brand Image
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with major clients, agencies, partners, and strategic accounts.
* Ensure a personalized and proactive client approach aligned with five-star service excellence standards.
Leadership & Management
* Lead, coach, and motivate the Sales teams, developing individual and collective performance in Bern and Lausanne.
* Set clear performance objectives (KPIs) for all departments in Lausanne and Bern and provide regular reporting to both General Management teams.
* Foster a culture of excellence, cross-departmental collaboration, and team cohesion.
* Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategy in close collaboration with the ADOS – MICE segment and the Revenue Manager.
PROFIL RECHERCHÉ
About You
* Degree in hospitality management, sales, or an equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in hotel sales, including several years in a similar role.
* Excellent knowledge of the Swiss and European markets and their key players.
* Proficiency in sales management tools, CRM, PMS, and reporting systems (Opera).
* Strong analytical skills with a clear focus on results and profitability.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities.
* Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken); French and German are an asset.
* Ability to travel once a month to Lausanne and Bern for on-site presence – workplace location to be chosen.
