About The Role
The Corporate Communication Manager is responsible for the concept, implementation, and evaluation of strategically important external and internal communication. This includes working with external and internal stakeholders, including top management, to communicate the company’s strategy, goals, and direction. The person will serve as a spokesperson towards the media. In addition, the jobholder will lead the communications work streams as part of major projects, such as sustainability and financial publications.
This role reports to the Head of External Communications and is part of the Corporate Communications team, based at the company’s head office in Zurich, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
* External and Internal Communication:
o Develop and drive impactful corporate communications activities based on the Group’s strategy, engaging key stakeholders (business, financial, sustainability, trade, and media).
o Create content for press releases, presentations, brochures, and online/internal channels.
o Handle media inquiries, interview requests, and manage the Media Mailbox.
o Leverage and cultivate relationships with media and suppliers, including journalists and sustainability communities.
o Support and advise ELT members on global communication planning and goals.
o Participate in the Global Newsroom and lead 360° communication projects.
o Assist in organizing events like press conferences, webcasts, and press trips, providing media interaction support.
o Develop tools and processes to enhance communication execution and collaboration.
* Media Monitoring and Reputational Management:
o Enhance media monitoring and internal media echo, including newsletters for internal communities.
o Monitor, analyze, and report on external communication results.
o Support crisis management and reputational issues, developing proactive and reactive media statements.
About You
* Minimum 6 years of relevant communication experience, preferably in the food industry or agro-commodities, with expertise in financial communication as an asset.
* University degree in economics, business administration, communication, journalism, or similar.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
* Excellent negotiation skills and ability to maintain constructive relationships.
* Outstanding writing skills for various channels.
* Solid media contacts and ability to expand the network, including international media and correspondents in Switzerland.
