The IT Technical Assistant is responsible for managing all the hardware/software support for TASIS. This individual is responsible for the Help Desk and provides computer/printer support for the TASIS community. The IT Technical Assistant must be able to multitask and prioritize the many requests for assistance to assure prompt, reliable service.
Information Technology
* Provide technical support for hardware/software for TASIS Employees/Students
* Deploy and maintain hardware (laptops, iPads, printers, classroom audio/visual equipment, etc.) and software
* Liaise with the Technology Development Director for student device management
* Regularly check and maintain additional technology infrastructure (Photo Lab, Access Points, theater and gymnasium audio-visual equipment, etc.)
* Manage storage rooms
* Archive Licenses/Software
* Inventory management
* Organize and stock IT equipment and accessories
* Attend departmental meetings and planning sessions
School Cell Phone Management
* Deploy and maintain cell phones and accessories, including installing apps and updates
* Provide technical support for phone hardware/software for TASIS Employees
Events Support
* Support or substitute for the A&V Event Technology Specialist during events, as needed
Summary of educational background and professional experience required
* Swiss Federal IT Certificate or equivalent
* Advanced continuing education certifications are desirable (e.g., Master’s in IT Management & Governance, or similar)
* Three or more years of related experience with computer support and providing customer service in a technological environment
* Expertise in the identification and use of technology equipment/software applications suitable for diverse instructional settings and user abilities
* Expertise with Apple products and Google Workspace strongly preferred
Professional and personal skills required
* Fluency in English (either mother tongue or at least a solid B2-C1 level)
* Fluency in Italian is preferred

* Strong understanding of spreadsheets and word processing

* Commitment to keep current with work skills essential to the objectives of the position

Additional comments
The Information Technology Technical Assistant may be required to complete other tasks as per the School’s instructions and in line with the Swiss Law provisions. Attendance at evening and weekend rehearsals, and other events may be required, as needed.
