CONTEXT
A position of Senior Product & Trade Compliance Expert (100%) in the Regulatory Team (RT) of the Group Product & Trade Compliance Department (GPTC).
As a department-head function, GPTC provides regulatory intelligence, risk assessment, project management, and compliance solutions to Richemont Group internal stakeholders (e.g., Maisons, Regions, Group Functions). The department leads a network of over 40 Product & Trade Compliance professionals across Group entities, helping ensure compliance across supply chains and entities on topics such as Sanctions, Customs Regulations, FTAs, Due Diligence on Material Sourcing (EUTR, UFLPA, etc.), and Product Compliance (ESPR, EU Batteries Regulation, Chemical Regulations, etc.) worldwide.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
You will join a growing department of motivated “intrapreneurs” committed to excellence in their fields.
This role involves responsibilities such as:
* Conducting and coordinating regulatory research on product & trade compliance regulations, analyzing requirements, assessing risks and business impacts, with support from Regional PTC teams & external consultants. Focus areas include Customs Regulations, CBAM, Extended Producer Responsibility, and EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation.
* Publishing memos, guidelines, directives, tools, and creating training materials like webinars and classroom sessions to support compliance implementation.
* Developing and maintaining expertise in regulatory fields to support international stakeholders, helping Maisons launch new products and access new markets.
* Building networks with external stakeholders such as industry associations, consultants, and authorities to clarify regulatory changes and develop compliance solutions.
* Coordinating taskforces and workshops to help businesses achieve compliance.
* Participating in the continuous improvement of the Regulatory Team’s services, including regulatory intelligence and content production.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
* Strong research skills, especially in regulations using OSINT, databases, and tools.
* Excellent analytical skills to summarize regulations and assess their impact, translating risks into business solutions.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation abilities.
* Ability to navigate organizational dynamics, understand stakeholder perspectives, and influence decision-making at senior levels.
* Motivated to learn new capabilities and adapt to department needs.
* Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance, while maintaining a team-oriented, collaborative approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance, risk management, regulatory affairs, or related fields, ideally in consumer products, supply chain services, or trade compliance consulting.
* Master's degree in Law or Economics from an EU, Swiss, or US university.
* Excellent communication skills in French and English.
* Experience with SAP and SAP GTS is desirable.
